Hello everyone! My name is Yu Linghao.Today I’d like to introduce Nanchang Wanshou Palace, a famous cultural landmark in our city.
Wanshou Palace has a history of more than 1,600 years. It was first built to remember Xu Xun, a great man who helped people fight floods and spread virtues like loyalty and filial piety. It is also the birthplace of Jingming Taoism and the ancestral temple of thousands of Wanshou Palaces around the world.
As a typical example of Jiangxi-style architecture, it has beautiful halls, elegant eaves and wonderful carvings. In history, it was not only a religious place but also a meeting hall for Jiangxi merchants. It carries the memories and spirit of our hometown.
Now, Wanshou Palace is a lively cultural block. It mixes old traditions and modern life, attracting many visitors every day.
